This episode of ‘Health Management Voices' is recorded as part of the European Health Management Conference podcast series, created to support current and future conference participants in navigating the EHM Conference experience. The series aim to provide practical guidance, particularly around the abstract submission and presentation process, and to help researchers and health management professionals make the most of their engagement with the Conference.

In this episode, we focus on preparing and submitting high-quality abstracts and presentations for the EHMC.

Our guest, Dr Marius Ungureanu, Chair of the Department of Public Health, Director of the Centre for Health Workforce Research and Policy from Babes-Bolyai University Romania, member of the EHMA Governing Board spoke to EHMA Executive Director Ms Federica Margheri, shared his perspective from reviewing hundreds of conference abstracts. Together, we explore why submitting an abstract to EHMA is a valuable opportunity, what defines a strong and competitive abstract, and how authors can effectively balance technical requirements with a clear and compelling research message.

The conversation also provides a behind-the-scenes look at the EHMA abstract review process, discusses how to align submissions with conference themes, and offers practical advice for researchers who may feel uncertain about whether their work is ‘ready’ to submit.
