Betty Alexander was a 69-year-old woman who went missing from the small town of Sullivan, Missouri.

A loving mother and grandmother known for her homemade snowball cookies and birthday cakes, she was last seen on April 10th, 2019, tending to her garden outside her apartment on South Center Street. The day of her disappearance, everything seemed normal. She even took her evening medicine, but by the next morning, her 7:00 AM dose went untouched. When her daughter Tanya arrived, days later, on April 14th, the door was locked and the only thing besides Betty that was missing was a box of her powerful pain patches. There was no signs of a struggle or forced entry.

Despite massive searches with dogs, drones, helicopters, and volunteers, Betty vanished without a trace. It's almost been seven years later. And her family still fights for answers. A recent billboard sparked some new hope and leads, but her mystery still continues. I personally have always struggled to accept the fact that Betty has never been found, so I mustered up the courage and reached out to Tanya and asked if she would be interested in coming on the podcast.

To my surprise, she said yes. So in this True Crime episode, we will be interviewing Betty Alexander's daughter with two goals in mind. One, keep Betty's story alive, and two, get the public to see both Betty and Tanya as real people, people who have both meaning and value.
