    In unserer heutigen Episode widmen wir uns dem Thema "Non-violent Communication" und effiziente Verhandlungsführung. Hierzu haben wir Professor Ulf Ehlers eingeladen. Er ist deutscher Bildungsforscher und Professor für Bildungsmanagement und Lebenslanges Lernen an der Dualen Hochschule Baden-Württemberg. Wir haben mit Professor Ehlers darüber gesprochen, was Non-violent Communication eigentlich bedeutet und warum sich Verhandlungen manchmal verhaken und vielleicht sogar scheitern, obwohl man inhaltlich eigentlich Dasselbe möchte. Professor Ehlers hat uns hierzu erklärt, wie die Bildung einer Beziehungsebene mit seinem Gegenüber sowie die Entschleunigung und das Innehalten in Verhandlungssituationen dabei helfen können, Konflikte aufzulösen und zum Ziel zu kommen - und warum manchmal der einzige, aber ehrliche Ausweg ist, zuzugeben, dass man gerade keine Antwort parat. Zum Schluss haben wir über das Phänomen gesprochen, warum in der heutigen Zeit, in der über Social Media tagtäglich die vielfältigsten, polarisierenden Meinungen in einem nahezu 360 Grad-Meinungsspektrum geäußert werden können, der ein oder andere aber dennoch das Gefühl hat und auch kundtut, seine Meinung nicht frei äußern zu dürfen.

    When we started this Podcast it was pretty clear to us that we would have to do an episode on Meditation since it is such an important topic when it comes to mental health and it certainly became even more indispensable during the pandemic. So you can certainly imagine that we are beyond excited about our latest guest Frank Bach, Lead Product Designer of Headspace, our favorite mediation app and probably also the most prominent one on the market. Headspace’s mission statement is to increase the world’s mental health and overall happiness - simply by making the world meditate. Their approach is that science always comes first which is why the app is free of any spiritual or religious influences whatsoever in order to include as many people as possible. Headspace uses 10-12 minute long meditation sessions that you can dive into at any time of the day. It's such an easy concept and specifically designed to incorporate meditation into your daily life no matter how busy the life style. We have talked with Frank about the specifics of the product and how and why it works so well - and of course, since at the end of the day Headspace is an LA-based tech and wellness company we were totally curious to learn more about the working culture of the company that has the goal to make the world a happier place.
