About this listen

These guys are a joke. They’re just dilettantes, or perhaps multidimensional idiot savants (hold the savant part), opining on subjects beyond their ken: literature; theology; philosophy; politics; the arts. You get the picture; they just read too much. Get a life. There is a whole world out there with real living people in it just waiting for you guys. They also seem to be really concerned about something called ”nihilism,” although they can’t even define what ”nihilism” is. And they seem to think they’ve gone ”over the line” . . . whatever that means. Also, who is Ernst Junger? Why do they keep mentioning him? It’s ridiculous. Oh, and the kicker: I think they’re like bible-thumpers or something. Podcasts have really jumped the shark.Copyright 2025 All rights reserved. Philosophy Social Sciences

Creak! The Fools open up the vault for a bonus throwback episode on the works of Friedrich Nietzsche. They power through Ecce Homo, Thus Spake Zarathustra, The Gay Science, and Beyond Good and Evil, with a series of rich insights. Great stuff! But will their brains be fried by the experience? Of course not! This episode was an instant classic!

It's Jungerin' time! In this episode, the Fools begin their healing journey in the works of Ernst Junger. First up, they analyze works from Junger's Old Testament period: Storm of Steel; War as an Inner Experience; The Worker; and On Pain. Along the way, they break down World War I, grenades, Gay Hitler, and the Cyborg Iliad. Awesome! The Fools are well on their way to becoming the foremost Junger scholars in the English-speaking world!
