Meet Ricky Jones, a client of Showering love who unfortunately lost both of his legs due to a cardiovascular disease. Ricky has been unhoused for a while and struggling to get around in his wheelchair in South Florida. Today thanks to the generosity of one of Showering love's donors, Ricky has received an electric wheelchair which will make his life much easier.
Jeanne has a personal conversation with Ricky about his situation living unhoused in south Florida and about the tremendous difficulties that a disable person has in his day to day activities.
Showering love provides not only showers, food, medical care and other services through the support of other organizations, but most importantly a way for any unhoused person that wants to find his/her way back to society.

We have secured our first home in South Florida to begin chapter two of our mission to help end homelessness. After growing our initial project to bring showers and wrap around services to our unhoused guests in different parts of South Florida, today we are celebrating a milestone. We have secured a 5 bedroom and 3 bath house to begin offering housing and life skills training to 10 of our unhoused guests in South Florida. They discuss the issues that block so many unhoused people from finding affordable housing and how he is currently making ends meet. Ishmael has been chosen to be one of the candidates to participate in our upcoming Community Enhancement Program where he will be one of our house guests for 3 to 6 months. During this time the guests will receive training in several areas to prepare them for a successful transition into financing their own affordable housing situation.
