• Is Trump's plan to target legal citizens?
    Feb 22 2026

Trump used a Black History Month celebration at the White House to deliver a rambling, self-centered speech that turned a century of Black history into a personal loyalty parade. While his administration actively dismantles diversity programs, erases references to slavery from public monuments, and purges Black military leaders, he stood in a room full of Black Americans and performed care he has never demonstrated through policy. The event, combined with new coordinated language distinguishing "American-born citizens" from naturalized citizens, reveals a propaganda strategy designed to mask systematic harm.

    The Breakdown
Trump turned the 100th anniversary of Black History Month into a campaign event, reducing Reverend Jesse Jackson's legacy to a few dismissive lines before parading pardoned supporters on stage to praise him
His administration is actively erasing Black history by removing references to slavery from federal exhibits, gutting DEI programs, and purging prominent Black military leaders
Coordinated language from both Trump and Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt distinguishing "American-born citizens" from other Americans signals the construction of a two-tier citizenship framework
The expansion of detention facilities to hold 92,600 people raises urgent questions about who these beds are intended for if borders are already being closed
The FDA reversed its refusal to review Moderna's mRNA flu vaccine application, proving that organized public pushback against this administration can produce results
Winning future elections alone will not be enough without accountability, transparency, and real judicial consequences for those who have worked to dismantle democratic institutions

  • Trump's frequent disappearances are a sign of something much bigger
    Feb 21 2026

Trump disappeared from public view again despite having three scheduled events on his official calendar, only to resurface in a tightly controlled video posted to Truth Social that raised more questions than it answered. Meanwhile, CBS blocked a Democratic Senate candidate's interview on Colbert citing newly expanded FCC rules, and Anderson Cooper announced his departure from 60 Minutes, signaling a deeper erosion of independent journalism under growing political pressure.

    The Breakdown
Trump's three scheduled public events produced zero photographs, footage, or press access before a single managed video appeared hours later
The video showed familiar signs of cognitive difficulty, including vacant expression, rambling delivery, and hands positioned to conceal repeated bruising on his right hand
His schedule increasingly mirrors patterns seen in late Soviet leadership, where declining leaders were propped up through staged appearances while real power shifted behind closed doors
CBS blocked a James Talarico interview on Colbert under newly expanded FCC equal-time rules that have never applied to late-night entertainment programming
Anderson Cooper's departure from 60 Minutes signals the ongoing hollowing out of institutional journalism at a critical moment for press independence
DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin's exit adds to a growing pattern of officials quietly leaving the administration as public pressure mounts

  • The mounting evidence of Trump's cognitive decline
    Feb 20 2026

President Trump's impromptu press gaggle aboard Air Force One revealed a leader visibly struggling to keep up with the crises surrounding his administration. From stumbling through economic talking points to forgetting which government negotiation was being discussed, the appearance raised serious questions about his engagement and cognitive sharpness. Meanwhile, cracks in the system are showing as companies refuse to cooperate with ICE detention plans and accountability reaches new corners of the elite class.

    The Breakdown
Trump appeared disoriented and physically sluggish during an unscripted press interaction on Air Force One
He deflected repeatedly on Epstein questions, claiming total exoneration without addressing specifics
His reaction to the Kristi Noem controversy suggested awareness masked as ignorance, with loyalty overriding accountability
He failed to recall which negotiation a reporter was asking about during a partial government shutdown
Thomas Pritzker stepped down from Hyatt Hotels after being named in newly released Epstein files
Warehouse owners and city councils across multiple states are refusing to participate in ICE mega detention center plans

  • Kristi Noem will make sure the "Right People" win our elections
    Feb 19 2026

Kristi Noem staged a bizarre, secretive press conference in Arizona, complete with convoys and propaganda posters, to push the SAVE Act and justify federal intrusion into state elections. During the event, she admitted the quiet part out loud, saying the goal is to make sure "the right people" are voting to elect "the right leaders." This is the same voter suppression playbook that was used after Reconstruction to strip millions of Americans of their rights, and it is happening again in real time.

    The Breakdown:

Noem's Arizona press conference required pre-approved journalists, a staged convoy of brand-new Dodge Durangos, and a secret location reveal designed to manufacture the feeling of a national security crisis
She said the government's job is to make sure "the right people" are voting and "the right leaders" are elected, a direct admission that this is about narrowing the electorate, not preventing fraud
She invoked Benjamin Franklin and the Constitutional Convention to frame voter suppression as patriotic duty while calling Arizona's elections "an absolute disaster" despite no evidence of widespread fraud
When pressed for a single documented example of non-citizens voting, Noem could not provide one, responding only with "Oh, I'm sure there's many of them"
The SAVE Act is being marketed as common sense, but its real purpose is to create barriers that disenfranchise eligible voters, the same strategy used with poll taxes and literacy tests after Reconstruction
Southern lawmakers once required Black voters to guess the number of jelly beans in a jar or bubbles on a bar of soap, and today's voter suppression bills follow the exact same logic wrapped in new language
Noem oversaw a $38.3 billion expansion of immigrant detention centers while private prison contractors like GEO Group and CoreCivic report record profits
Her department has been described by the Wall Street Journal as operating in "constant chaos," with senior advisers firing and rehiring personnel over trivial grievances
Even border czar Tom Homan refused to defend her "right people voting" comment on national television, saying "That's a question for the secretary"
Members of Congress have called for Noem's impeachment over her handling of the Minneapolis incident and a pattern of smearing victims with materially inaccurate claims
Trump himself admitted the stakes, saying if they lose the midterms "they'll find a reason to impeach me," revealing that attacking elections is a survival strategy, not a security measure
Redirecting spending away from corporations enabling this administration and toward independent journalists, scientists, and democracy-focused institutions is one concrete way to cast a vote before the election

  • Trump's regime is run by the worst of the worst
    Feb 18 2026

While Trump retreated to Mar-a-Lago during his third government shutdown, spending ten hours raging about Bill Maher on Truth Social instead of ensuring federal workers get paid, his administration quietly moved forward with plans to spend $38.3 billion building detention centers with capacity for over 92,000 people. TSA workers, Coast Guard members, and airport security agents worked without pay as the system ground to a halt.

    The Breakdown:

Trump's late-night Bill Maher spiral led to a book-length Truth Social rant, proving he treats the presidency like a reality TV show while federal employees miss paychecks
The administration plans to turn warehouses into mass detention facilities, creating infrastructure for 92,000 detainees, with some already shipped to offshore facilities
A whistleblower complaint implicating Jared Kushner in potential wrongdoing involving foreign intelligence and Iran was allegedly suppressed by DNI Tulsi Gabbard for eight months
Gabbard reportedly locked the complaint in a safe and delivered a copy directly to White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles instead of transmitting it to Congress as required by law
Kushner operates as a private citizen with no official title, no congressional confirmation, no oversight, and billions in foreign investments, creating a national security crisis
The people behind the curtain, Stephen Miller, Susie Wiles, and billionaire backers like Peter Thiel, are using Trump's chaos as cover to implement Project 2025
Casey Wasserman announced he is selling his agency after his connections to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were exposed in the unsealed files, signaling accountability is coming
The backlash is working, and when someone at Wasserman's level of influence makes an exit, it sends a clear message that the powerful are not invincible

  • Trump's systematic dismantling of DEMOCRACY in real time
    Feb 17 2026

Trump used a visit to Fort Bragg to turn what should have been a moment of gratitude for special forces into a political rally, bragging about 401(k)s to soldiers who have Thrift Savings Plans and using the troops as props to attack Democrats. Meanwhile, his administration revoked passport processing from over 1,400 libraries, threatened to impose voter ID by executive order, and federal prosecutors charged journalist Don Lemon for covering a protest, raising serious First Amendment concerns.

    The Breakdown:
Trump attacked Democrats and inflated ICE arrest numbers during a press conference before flying to Fort Bragg
He turned a military visit into a campaign rally, showing he does not understand basic military benefits like the Thrift Savings Plan
His administration revoked passport processing authority from 1,400 nonprofit libraries, centralizing control and creating barriers for rural communities
Trump declared on Truth Social he would impose voter ID requirements for midterms "whether approved by Congress or not"
The combination of restricting passport access and pushing strict ID laws creates new barriers to voting for millions of Americans
Veteran journalist Don Lemon pleaded not guilty to federal charges for livestreaming a protest inside a church
A federal magistrate judge initially rejected the charges and video footage contradicts key allegations in the indictment
The prosecution of Lemon follows historical patterns where authoritarian regimes target individual reporters to silence dissent
In contrast to U.S. inaction, international fallout from the Epstein files forced resignations at DP World and Goldman Sachs
Over 3.5 million pages of Epstein related files remain hidden from the American public
Trump pressured pollsters to stop releasing unfavorable approval numbers, and they complied

  • Trump destroyed 15 years of progress with one stroke of the pen
    Feb 16 2026

The Trump administration just gutted the EPA's endangerment finding, the legal foundation for regulating carbon emissions from cars, power plants, and polluters for the past 15 years. This rollback does nothing to lower costs for American families. It hands a massive gift to fossil fuel executives while putting our children's health and future at risk.

    The Breakdown:

Trump's EPA revoked the 2009 scientific finding that greenhouse gases endanger public health, eliminating the legal basis for federal emissions regulations
Lee Zeldin announced the rollback from the Roosevelt Room while Trump stood behind him barely able to stay awake, calling it "as big as it gets, they tell me"
Barack Obama responded directly, warning that without the endangerment finding, we will be less safe, less healthy, and less able to fight climate change
The day before, Trump was handed a fake trophy naming him "Undisputed Champion of Beautiful Clean Coal" by mining executives, then signed orders directing the Pentagon to buy coal power
Trump ordered $175 million to keep six aging coal plants running, calling it modernization when it is really another fossil fuel industry bailout
Democrats are holding the line on federal immigration funding, refusing to give Trump a blank check for his deportation force as a government shutdown looms
A federal judge blocked the Pentagon from punishing Senator Mark Kelly for a video urging service members not to follow illegal orders, protecting his First Amendment rights
Tom Homan announced the end of Operation Metro Surge in Minnesota after weeks of public outrage, protests, and the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti
The New York Federal Reserve reported Americans paid nearly 90 percent of the cost of Trump's tariffs in 2025, with average tariffs jumping from 2.6 percent to 13 percent
An AP-NORC poll found about 6 in 10 Americans, including 6 in 10 independents, believe Trump has gone too far with immigration enforcement
Trump's approval is slipping with independents and Republicans as resistance grows in courts, communities, and classrooms across the country

  • The Justice Department is now protecting criminals (not victims)
    Feb 15 2026

President Trump emerged for a "Champion of Coal" event at the White House where he slurred through incoherent sentences, stared blankly at his notes, and told coal workers they wouldn't trade places with him and his Fifth Avenue penthouse. Meanwhile, Attorney General Pam Bondi turned the House Judiciary Committee's Epstein hearing into a disgrace, refusing to look at survivors, weaponizing identity to deflect questions, and getting caught with a printed list tracking a lawmaker's search history from a secure DOJ facility.

    The Breakdown:

Trump slurred through his coal speech, struggling with basic words and veering into confused rambles about his penthouse lifestyle

He told coal workers who risk their lives daily that they wouldn't trade places with him, revealing a staggering disconnect

Pam Bondi shouted over committee members, accused Rep. Thomas Massie of "Trump Derangement Syndrome," and refused to look at Epstein survivors

Bondi accused Rep. Becca Balint of antisemitism despite Balint's grandfather being killed in the Holocaust

The DOJ released unredacted files exposing survivors' names while redacting the names of wealthy and powerful men accused of crimes

Every single survivor in the room raised their hand when asked if the DOJ had completely ignored them

Reporters caught Bondi reading from a printed list tracking Rep. Pramila Jayapal's personal search history from a DOJ computer

Rep. Jamie Raskin called the DOJ surveillance of Congress "Orwellian" and a "violation of the separation of powers"

Rep. Ted Lieu directly accused Bondi of lying under oath during the hearing

Jeanine Pirro's office tried to indict six Democratic lawmakers for sedition over a 90-second video urging troops not to follow illegal orders

A D.C. grand jury refused to indict Mark Kelly, Elissa Slotkin, Jason Crow, Maggie Goodlander, Chrissy Houlahan, and Chris Deluzio

The SAVE Act passed the House and is heading to the Senate where citizens need to call their Senators to vote against it
