“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
This verse reminded me that what sustains us isn’t our strength or our ability to hold everything together—it’s the Lord’s great love. We are not consumed, not because life isn’t heavy, but because God’s compassion never runs out. Even when yesterday drained us, God doesn’t meet us with leftovers. His mercy is new every single morning. That means today isn’t defined by our failures, our fears, or our exhaustion. It’s defined by His faithfulness. And that faithfulness is what allows us to take the next steady step forward.
