  • Ending the Jubilee Year of Hope
    Dec 28 2025

In this reflective episode of the Butterfly Girl Podcast, Kimberly looks back on the Jubilee Yar of Hope and the quiet, surprising ways God moved throughout her life. What began as a season of uncertainty - unemployment, waiting, and praying for direction - slowly became a year of trust, surrender, courage, and deep spiritual growth. She shares the story of moving to North Dakota, starting a new job she loves, returning to journaling regularly after many years, building new friendships, reconnecting with old ones, and navigating grief after the loss of her former therapist. Through gentle storytelling and prayer, Kimberly invites you to pause, breathe, and notice how God has been working in. your own life. This episode is a reminder that hope often begins quietly, grows in unexpected places, and continues to unfold one faithful step at a time.

  • Making Room at the Inn: Surrendering What I Can't Carry
    Dec 21 2025

In this Advent episode, I share openly about the emotional weight I have been carrying these last few weeks. Family tension, the declining health of loved ones, and the struggle to stay focused at work have left my heart feeling crowded and tired.

As I reflect on my own experience, I talk about what God has been teaching me about making room at the inn when life feels overwhelmingly full. The nativity story comes alive in a new way as I consider how God enters the messy and imperfect places of my life rather than the polished ones.

I also share how I am learning to surrender what I cannot carry and how even a small space in my heart can become a place for Christ to rest.

This episode includes a guided meditation, gentle encouragement, and invitations to create room for peace and spiritual grounding. If you are walking through a heavy season, I hope this conversation brings comfort and companionship.

  • Illustrating Hope: A Conversation with Laila Warner
    Dec 14 2025

In this episode of the Butterfly Girl Podcast, I sit down with illustrator Laila Warner for an inspiring conversation about art, calling, and collaboration. Laila shares her creative background and the early moments that sparked her love for drawing. She talks about how her journey evolved from simple childhood sketches to illustrating published books and building a professional artistic path rooted in both joy and purpose.

Laila reflects on the books she has illustrated before joining the Miriam's Heavenly Tea Party project and how each one shaped her style and confidence. She also offers insight into the heart behind her work and the role that faith, family, and personal story have played in her growth as an artist.

Together, we talk about what it meant to collaborate on Miriam's Heavenly Tea Party, a coloring storybook created to support organizations that help children who have experienced abuse or neglect. Laila shares why this mission held deep personal meaning for her and how it guided every illustration. She describes the process of bringing Miriam's story to life and the hope she poured into each scene for the children and families who will hold this book in their hands.

This conversation is warm, thoughtful, and full of encouragement for anyone who loves creativity, storytelling, and the power of art to heal and uplift.
