Amanda and I decided not to launch Season 2 this morning because we were both feeling very ungrounded and didn’t want to begin the season in that energy.

IYMN podcast isn’t a a political space nor an activism space; it was created for us to connect on our shared experiences growing up, to explore what it means to re-parent ourselves, and to foster community who are doing the same.

Right now, it feels important to be thoughtful and intentional in our actions. Why are we doing this? What’s the intention? Why do we need it? Who is it helping?

So while we intend to create content in this space that has room for levity, healing, connection, and re-parenting, we need to be very clear on one thing:

👋It is no longer an available luxury to separate your life from the politics of this country. 👋

If you support the current administration and the cornucopia of atrocities it has committed in the name of this country, our podcast is not for you.
We are both daughters of immigrants, we are women, we are mothers, we are HUMANS, and we are angry, dismayed, and heartbroken at the horrors unfolding at a pace so rapid we can’t even keep track.

And so while we must keep our sanity, we must take care of our families, our careers, our friends, we also must not be quiet about who we are and what we stand for, no matter what.

WE ARE THE CHANGE WE WISH TO SEE.
Be loud.

We are all our mothers now. We will take care of each other.
