About this listen
Welcome former Walt Disney Imagineer Scott Girard to the third episode of The WDW Connection Show! We’re thrilled to have Scott join us to discuss his incredible career at WED Enterprises / Walt Disney Imagineering.
As a landscape architect, Scott played a crucial role in making Walt Disney World a beautiful destination. He spent decades with the company creating (and growing!) the magic. Notably, he had the opportunity to meet Walt Disney and worked closely with Roy Disney during the construction of Walt Disney World.
Throughout his career, Scott contributed to several major projects that helped shape the aesthetic of Walt Disney World, beautifying the exterior areas at the parks, attractions, and resorts. He also shares the fascinating story of his involvement in relocating the Liberty Oak tree from a pasture in Central Florida to its current home in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom.
