In this episode of Script Happens: A WGSA Podcast, host Bongi Ndaba talks Indigenous Language Screenwriting with Tuelo Gabonewe and Christa Biyela.
Tuelo Gabonewe is also a novelist and translator, and has the South African Literary Award (Translator's Award) under his belt. He writes in Setswana and recently had a series on Showmax titled "016FM" and few others on Mzansi Magic.
Christa Biyela is an accomplished screenwriter who has contributed to several prominent television productions in South Africa including Uzalo, Mamello, Igazi, Rockville and The Queen. She was a Head Writer for Kusa Kusa, Ukhozi FM’s first soapie for a period of three years. She has worked as a translator for a television series Skeem Saam Seasons 1 & 2.
