About this listen

Hosted by NJ Mayhall—licensed massage therapist, mom of four, former sex worker, and widow—this podcast is a raw, honest space for the stories we've been told to hide.

NJ's life changed forever when her husband died from an overdose. That loss forced her to confront not just grief, but a lifetime of pain she'd been numbing with alcohol and weed. It pushed her to finally heal—from a tumultuous, abusive marriage, from childhood sexual abuse in foster care, from being raised by a narcissistic adoptive mother in a religious cult-like environment, and from a string of relationships where she was cheated on and used.

She realized the chaos she kept surviving was rooted in a childhood where she learned her voice didn't matter. So she went on a quest to find it.

Now a student pursuing a counseling degree, NJ understands that healing isn't linear. It's messy. It's uncomfortable. And it's possible.
We will talk about :
· Narcissism and emotional abuse
· Religious trauma and deconstructing fear
· Sex work, stigma, and survival
· Motherhood while breaking generational curses
· Grief, addiction, and mental health
· What it actually looks like to rebuild

This is for anyone who's ever felt too messy, too complicated, or too broken to belong. Your story matters. Your voice matters. Pull up a chair. Let's get real.Copyright NJ Mayhall
