About this listen

What does it take to lead when legacy, not just results, is on the line?

In this episode of Lime, Listen & Learn: The People Leadership Lounge, host Abbiola Ballah is in conversation with Eli Angote to dig into a kind of leadership that does not always get talked about. Leadership rooted in purpose, not just performance.

This isn’t a panel. We’re not here for perfect soundbites. This is a lime, a Trinidadian term that means to hang out, connect, and vibe.

Abbiola and Eli reflect on what it means to build something that lasts, stay connected to your values under pressure, and lead in ways that feel aligned, not just impressive on paper. The conversation weaves through legacy, culture, care, and the often avoided realities of mortality, inviting leaders to think beyond outcomes and toward impact.

If you’ve been thinking about the kind of leader you want to be remembered as, this one’s for you.

Grab your snacks and a drink. Come lime with us!

This Conversation Touches On:

  • Leading with legacy in mind, not just results
  • Building cultures rooted in purpose, care, and connection
  • Staying aligned with values under pressure
  • Being trauma informed as a leadership practice
  • Reflecting on mortality, impact, and what we leave behind
