North Mason track and field opened the Olympic League Championships yesterday at Phil Pugh Stadium in Belfair, with Samantha Neal winning the girls' pole vault, Owen Dukeshire taking second in the boys' discus, and the girls' 4x100 relay finishing third. North Mason baseball closed the regular season Thursday with an 11-4 win over Chimacum, finishing 9-11 and earning the 12th seed in the District 3 Class 2A tournament. Shelton baseball wrapped up the regular season with an 11-4 loss to Tumwater, finishing 12-9 on the year.
Today: Shelton baseball heads to the District 4 Class 3A tournament play-in game Saturday against Heritage, and FC Olympia opens its season this weekend with a doubleheader tomorrow at The RAC in Lacey.
