She said a man in a gray hat stood at the foot of her bed, never moving, never speaking—just watching. Luna takes the call one night when Margot's voice sounds different. Tighter. Wrong. And when she asks Margot to describe the hat, the man on the other end of the line—the one Luna thought was just a listener—tilts his head.
