About this listen

In a small Catholic chapel where votive candles gutter before a saint's turned-away face, Luna kneels in the pew, rosary beads clicking between her fingers. This is the gathering place for stories from the borderlands of faith — where devotion curdles into obsession, where the sacred turns sinister, and where the line between sin and salvation blurs into shadow. Each episode of Saints and Sinners is a self-contained tale that explores the dark corners of religious belief: a priest who hears confessions from someone who died decades ago, a relic that grants prayers at a terrible cost, a congregation that worships something that answers from the basement. Luna's hushed, intimate narration draws you close, as if sharing a secret that could damn you if overheard. These are not stories of comfort — they are stories of what happens when the divine looks away. Listen with reverence, and with fear.

  • The Sinkhole at Saint Margaret's Grove — Fexingo Horror
    May 12 2026
October 2023. A stretch of county road outside Foley, Alabama, that the locals call Saint Margaret's Grove. After a week of rain, a sinkhole opened in the asphalt behind the old mission church — the one with the boarded-up nave and the statue of Saint Margaret that faces away from the road. Luna drove out there the night it happened, after someone from the parish called to say the sinkhole wasn't empty. It wasn't the hole that unsettled her. It was what the hole had brought up. A story about a woman named Ellen, a baptism that went wrong forty years ago, and the shape that waited beneath the grove for the ground to finally open. A slow, quiet episode about buried things, wet earth, and what it means to hear your own name called from a place that should be empty.

  • The Wind at Saint Lucy's Cross — Fexingo Horror
    May 11 2026
In the autumn of 1998, a young woman drives east out of Red Bluff, Montana, following her grandmother's dying instruction to visit Saint Lucy's Cross—a roadside shrine at the edge of the Hi-Line, where the prairie meets the breaks of the Missouri River. She arrives at dusk, expecting to fulfill a simple request: replace an old rosary at the foot of the cross. But the wind carries voices she cannot unhear, and the names carved into the wood date back over a century. This is a story about what it means to answer a call that was never meant for you. About the weight of a single act of witness. And about the silence after, when you realize you've been standing in a place where something is still listening.

  • The Offering at Saint Anne's Harvest Festival — Fexingo Horror
    May 10 2026
In the autumn of 1989, Luna drives through the fog-choked farm roads of Gethsemane, Missouri, to attend the harvest festival at Saint Anne's Church. There she meets a woman named Ruth, who tells her about the annual tradition of leaving an offering at the statue of Saint Anne—a single ear of corn wrapped in red ribbon. But this year, a stranger leaves something else: a small burlap sack tied with black thread. Inside is a handful of black soil and a note that reads, 'She was hungry. Thank you for the harvest.' Luna learns that in 1957, a girl named Eliza vanished during the festival, and every year since, something has been taking more than just the corn.
