The Rays win their 9th straight game, beating the Astros 3-1. It was a pitchers duel for the first part of this game. Neither team got a run until the 6th inning. Nick Martinez was the reason the Astros were limited offensively tonight. He once again put up a strong start going 5.1 IP striking out 3 and only allowing 1 run. That 1 run was in the 6th inning after Nick Fortes gave the Rays the lead with a solo homer. The Astros answered with a solo homer themselves to make it 1-1. The Rays answered back in the 7th inning with another Junior Caminero homer. Junior now has 10 homers in his last 10 games as his incredible run continues. Nick Fortes gave the Rays more insurance with a RBI double in the 8th to make it 3-1. The Rays bullpen would be nails once again to give the Rays another win. The Rays will look to make it 10 in a row tomorrow night.
