  • S0E0 ~~ Atajia Announcement
    Jan 5 2026

It's January 5th, so here we go! ...Sort of.
Celina and Morgan have each learned a lot over the last two months, getting this project started. This episode is not Book 1 - The Long Walk - Chapter 1. A Not At All Pretentious Beginning. Instead, it's an explanation of what to expect over the next months, until enough material is ready, to begin what will be a reliable release schedule.

This is it, folks. The very last episode of Lorehaven Hearth.

Seth, Celina, and Morgan have all had a fantastic time presenting to you the Great Wheel cosmological model of D&D, and we hope it has informed your own games and stories. And if we have inspired you to do a bit more exploring and research for yourselves, all the better!

Be sure to look for the Atajia Cycle, Book 1, Chapter 1, on January 5th, 2026! We're very excited to be starting something new, for you story-loving listeners. Spread the word now, so everyone you know can be ready for the first chapter.

Well, this is it, folks! We made it to the finale.

Season 2, our Tour of the Great Wheel, is over and we gather together to discuss the season as a whole. The Highs, the Lows; all the Bits. We also look back a bit on the show as a whole; storytelling and tangents alike.

As a special treat, Seth gave us a fuller description of his character Daq, in our upcoming D&D novel. He's going to be a delight to travel along with.

Look forward to one last Second Wind in two weeks, on "dee-20-eth", with a few last bits of banter and clarification.

This is not the Season Wrap Up!

This is an explanation of what is coming next, from Celina, Morgan, and Seth.

The Wrap Up will be coming, but in December. We figured that we'd been teasing and hinting at our next project long enough, and that it was time to bring you a full chat about what to expect.

We're all sad to see Lorehaven Hearth coming to an end, but very excited to start this new project. Its structure is unlike anything we've read or heard before, and we think you'll come to enjoy it as much as we do.

If you know someone who might also be intrigued by the blending of genre's structures, or delight in a rich, rewarding narrative, or perhaps somehow identify with one of the characters, share this with him or her! Our listeners will be the way we gain a larger audience! Mark you calendars, and spread the word!

  • Lorehaven Hearth -13. Elysium and Hades
    Oct 20 2025

    Send us a text

In this climactic finale of the Lorehaven Hearth Planar Series, Seth and Celina journey to the two opposing hearts of the multiverse — the Blessed Fields of Elysium and the Gray Waste of Hades. From the radiant meadows where the River Oceanus flows to the desolate glooms where color and hope fade away, this episode explores how Dungeons & Dragons has portrayed these realms across every edition, from 1e’s foundational cosmology to 5e’s Great Wheel revival.

    Listeners will discover:

    • The four layers of Elysium — Amoria, Eronia, Belierin, and Thalasia — and the serene celestials who dwell there.
    • The three glooms of Hades — Oinos, Niflheim, and Pluton — and the grim forces that harvest souls.
    • How each edition reshaped these planes in lore and mechanics.
    • The deep mythological roots of paradise and despair, from the Greek Elysian Fields and Hades to the Egyptian Aaru and Norse Helheim.
    • The moral and theological echoes that resonate through these imagined afterlives.

The episode closes with a reflective biblical meditation, contrasting the fleeting peace of Elysium and the hopelessness of Hades with the eternal rest promised in Christ:

“Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your sting?” (1 Corinthians 15:54–55)

Join us for this final journey through the Great Wheel — a tale of light and shadow, hope and despair, and the eternal truth beyond all planes.

Well, this one's not as long, but there are still fun tangents to enjoy. Tony even had "bonus material" for us!

See you in two weeks for the penultimate episode, Elysium and Hades. There will be some big announcements included in that one.

  • Lorehaven Hearth - 12. Beastlands, Gehenna, and Guest Appearance
    Sep 20 2025

The Season is wrapping up! Seth and Celina have a good discussion about the differences, but also the similarities, of the Beastlands with other heavens, and laughingly cringe their way through the awful, desperate brutality that is Gehenna.
Then, as an added bonus, we have Tony, from Dungeons and Disciples drop by for a short interview, and to get a sense of what his and Josh's show is about. It was fun having him share some about it, and get to know him a bit, too.
Enjoy this "anitpenultimate" episode, and be sure to come back for the Second Wind, then the last discussion of two specific Planes next month. The final episode, a complete Wrap Up of all the Planes, will come in November, with its possible Second Wind dropping in December.
