It explores themes of neglect and societal expectations, highlighting the painful truths hidden in relationships and the struggle between duty and genuine connection.

The narrative explores struggles with identity and belonging, shaped by a mother and daughter’s relationship experiences and societal expectations. Feeling out of place in a conservative hometown, and finding solace in distant cities and meaningful connections. The evolving relationship between a mother and daughter reveals shared desires for freedom and understanding, transcending their initial miscommunication.

A poem exploring gender fluidity, authenticity, and the freedom to exist beyond rigid definitions. Through imagery of water, sky, and horizon, it reflects on identity as something ever-moving, expansive, and undefinable.
