  • KMOX Classics Volume II: Classic Conversations
    Jan 26 2026
Some of these interviews are just plain funny. The same station that makes you sit up and listen also allows you to sit back and laugh. Who could forget Jim White's classic encounter with a listener who mistakenly had her stomach pumped and wanted revenge or Bruce Bradley's campaign to bring pink flamingos to the Serra Sculpture downtown? "These Classic Conversations from the KMOX hosts are just a few of the reasons I love this station. I know there will be many more famous conversations in the years to come. I hope my children - as well as yours - will tune into News/Talk 1120 to experience and understand why KMOX truly is 'the Voice of St. Louis'," Fred Bodimer, Executive Producer; Health & Religion Reporter and producer of the "KMOX Classics VD Volume II: Classic Conversations".

  • KMOX Classics Volume I: The Carney Years 1971-1984
    Jan 26 2026
Jack Carney was nominated for the Radio Hall of Fame in 2000, but if St. Louisans were doing the voting, Jack Carney would have been a landslide winner years ago. Carney occupied the 9am until noon shift on KMOX for 13 years, and when he died of a heart attack at the age of 52 in 1984, it left a tremendous void at the station. He dominated the market in terms of bringing in important guests, in terms of advertisers and revenue and in terms of listeners. Nobody produced more laughs, and nobody enjoyed doing it more than Carney. "This CD celebrates just a fraction of the joy Dad brought to KMOX listeners from 1971 to 1984. Putting this project together reminds me how lucky we are to have had Jack in our lives. I think he would be pleased and humbled that as you listen to this you are smiling and quite likely, laughing out loud," John Carney, September 26, 2003.
