The Year is 2076. The Location is United States of America, but divided. To the north is the Remaining United States of Americas (RUSA) and to the South are Southern States combined with most Caribbean islands forming a Cooperation called New Liber. After five hundred years of institutional social and economic oppression, African American and Latin communities understand that the Nation’s July forth independence from British rule celebration is actually a celebration of the right to continue a state sponsored slave system and non-white structural systematic oppression. The results of the oppression combine with global warming effects and leads to New Liber’s formulation and fight toward independence.

Stumbled on this book and was intrigued..especially since independence is so important right now. It's a phenomenal read deserving of the big screen treatment.

This book will someday make a great movie
