• Shaquita Smith: Imperfections, Advocacy and Personal Truth
    Jan 17 2026

Atlanta Actress & Author: Shaquita Smith on the Imperfectly Perfect Podcast

You may know Shaquita Smith from her work as an actress and producer, but her story extends far beyond the screen. Now an author, mental wellbeing advocate, and powerful voice in her community, Shaquita brings depth, honesty, and courage to every project she takes on, including sharing her own story in the Imperfectly Perfect Campaign Book series.

What most people don’t see: the pressures of visibility, the inner work behind fame, and the courage it takes to speak your truth in every space you occupy. Through her advocacy, Shaquita encourages others to embrace imperfection, step into their voice, and prioritize mental wellbeing, all while navigating the unique pressures of her career and life in the public eye. In this conversation:

    1. Writing her story for the IPC book and why it matters
    2. Speaking into imperfections and the real pressures behind the spotlight
    3. Navigating fame, visibility, and expectation without losing yourself
    4. Using her platform for impact that truly resonates

  • 'I literally wanted to die' with Joshua Broome
    Nov 13 2025

He was one of the Top Five Male Porn Stars in the World. Now he's a Pastor.

Joshua Broome has a story that'll move you to tears with his painful experiences, but then inspire you to grow in God because of what he's done in his life.

During his five years in the porn industry, Joshua Broome made over 1,000 adult films, was named Top Adult Male Performer of the Year, and earned over one million dollars.

This episode we hear how Joshua first got involved in the porn industry, the damage it wreaked on him, and where it got to the point of him wanting to take his own life.

He shares while working at a restaurant in L.A., how he met a group of girls who worked in porn who suggested that he consider doing so as well. He agreed to meet with an agent, who told him that because of his good looks and because there was a need for acting experience, he could likely have a successful career as a porn star.

The guilt and nerves gradually diminished throughout his first year working as a porn star. “The more numb I became to what it was, the less I felt conflicted about it,” he said. “It was just a transaction to me. A handshake was sometimes more personal than having sex.”

Joshua them delves in to the decision to leave the porn industry being the result of something one could describe as a modern-day miracle.

This is such an inspirational story and we cannot wait for you to listen.

Today, we are joined by James Ingham, whose story is one of courage, transformation, and the power of truly coming home to yourself.

Born in Leeds, James grew up in a working-class family, navigating the complexities of understanding and embracing his sexual identity. At 19, during his second year at university, he reached a breaking point and attempted to take his own life, a moment that became a catalyst for profound change.

After time spent travelling and reconnecting with who he was beneath it all, James went on to become one of the UK’s most respected entertainment journalists, interviewing icons such as Whitney Houston, Adele, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Elton John.

In recent years, a deep spiritual awakening led him to pivot toward fitness, wellbeing, and personal growth—using his platform to champion authenticity and purpose. He’s since raised nearly £500,000 for Cancer Research, completed 15 consecutive London Marathons, served as a Stonewall School Role Model, and provides media training for reality shows including Love Island.

This episode is an open, honest, and inspiring conversation about identity, self-acceptance, and what it truly means to live as your most authentic self, no masks, no expectations, just truth.
