Did you know a hotel can just cancel on you? Not the trip, the actual reservation, and rebook your room to someone else if you're not there by a certain time.
That's what happened to Rachel in Paris. They got in late because of travel delays, and by the time they showed up, the room was already gone. No warning, no heads up, just gone. So there they were, in a foreign city, in the middle of a heatwave, trying to find somewhere to sleep at midnight, and Rachel very pregnant through all of it.
We chat about updates, what it's like being pregnant through a heatwave in a foreign city, and the good kind of chaos too.
We also get into something that's been on both our minds, which is how many of our St. Louis friends are moving away right now, and what that actually does to a friend group once kids are in the picture. It's not something either of us has fully figured out, but we talk through it honestly, including the idea that finding other families with kids the same age can fill that gap, even if it looks different than what you pictured.
And there's a fun one at the end. Rachel has landed on a boy name, even though we still don't know if this baby is a boy or a girl.
This is a life update episode more than anything, so if you've been wanting to catch up with us, this is that.

This week on In Her Season, the girls find themselves together in Florida — a place filled with memories, nostalgia, and reflection.

As they soak in the sunshine, they explore how certain places hold completely different meanings depending on the season of life you're in. For Liv, Florida represents four transformative years of her twenties. For her husband, it's a place tied to family traditions and childhood memories in Destin. Together, they reflect on how some people spend their lives chasing nostalgia while others are constantly searching for something new.

Liv also shares the story behind her gender reveal — an intimate moment shared with her husband in a location that holds deep sentimental meaning for him, making the experience even more special.

The conversation turns to life cycles, personal growth, and the unmistakable feeling that comes before a major life change. Have you ever felt the winds of change? The girls discuss how they've learned to recognize those moments when they know something big is about to shift.

    Plus:

    • Why reading a Kindle at the nail salon is apparently a conversation starter
    • Mahjong's surprising rise and Liv's strategy for making new friends as an adult
    • Lake house or vacation house?
    • And a secondhand embarrassment story from the nail salon that had Liv questioning everything

This episode is all about nostalgia, friendship, new beginnings, and learning to embrace the season you're in — even when you can feel another one just around the corner. 🌊✨💛

What started as a desperate search for a safe lip balm turned into something so much bigger. In this episode, Olivia sits down with Grai — co-founder of Oceanic Organics and one of her first friends in the young mom world — for an honest, ingredient-level conversation about clean living, building a brand from a personal need, and what's actually hiding in your everyday skincare products.

They break down exactly what's in Oceanic Organics' beef tallow moisturizer and all-natural lip balm, talk through the crunchy spectrum (no judgment here), and get into the real stuff — raising kids with food dye restrictions, fragrance sensitivity, and why this generation of moms is paying closer attention than ever.

  • Crunchy Girl Confessions: The Things We Can't Quit
    Jun 4 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on In Her Season, the girls are embracing a simple truth: sometimes a fresh set of nails is exactly what the doctor ordered. In fact, we firmly believe all nail salons should come equipped with a bar.

From there, the conversation goes exactly where you'd expect (and nowhere you'd predict). We're sharing our hottest food takes, defending Chipotle over Qdoba, discussing why fast-food ice cream hits different, and admitting that pregnancy has completely removed any guilt we once had about indulging in the things we enjoy.

We also get honest about navigating conversations around culture and identity, the importance of staying curious without making assumptions, and the moments when good intentions still leave you putting your foot in your mouth.

As self-proclaimed crunchy girls, we're also confessing our not-so-crunchy vices. Whether it's flavored coffee creamer, salon shampoo, lipstick, or other little luxuries, we're proof that living intentionally doesn't require perfection.

And finally, Liv shares a solution to one of her biggest clean-living frustrations: lip balm. After searching for products she could actually trust, she's partnered with a friend to create all-natural, organic lip balms made with simple ingredients you can feel good about.

It's a little food talk, a little crunchy-girl chaos, and a lot of laughter in this week's episode.

  • We’re Romanticizing Summer… But Who’s in My House?!
    May 28 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on In Her Season, what started as a sweet Mother’s Day treat quickly turned into something much more unsettling when Rachel came home to more than just her babysitter in the house…

The girls unpack the experience and ask the question: what would you do if a strange man came knocking on your door?

Of course, in true In Her Season fashion, the conversation takes a turn into the chaos and comedy of pregnancy — including the very real reality that pregnancy boobs are absolutely their own situation. Being pregnant is a wild ride, and sometimes all you can do is laugh through it.

The girls also dive into everything they’re romanticizing this summer: picnics, flowy white sundresses, feminine fairy energy, prioritizing family time, toes in the sand with a good book, and leaning into adulthood and parenthood in ways that actually feel meaningful.

    Plus:

    • Rachel’s travel-filled June
    • oysters while pregnant… yes or no?
    • embracing slower, fuller summers

This episode feels like a mix of cozy summer dreaming, chaotic girl talk, and navigating womanhood in real time 🌸✨📚

  • Kindles, Girlhood & 2000s Nostalgia
    May 21 2026

From Kindle obsessions and Sarah J. Maas book spirals to the joy of finding your people through “book cults,” Rachel and Liv are talking all things reading, girlhood, and the comfort of getting lost in a good series.

They also take a walk down memory lane and reminisce on the magic of growing up in the 2000s — mall culture, Black Friday shopping, magazines, sleepovers, and all the little things that made girlhood feel so special. Where did you shop? Did your family wake up at insane hours for Black Friday deals? Because same.

Plus, the girls debate what Liv should do for her upcoming 30th birthday and why certain traditions and memories still feel so meaningful as adults.

This past Mother’s Day felt especially meaningful for Liv as she celebrates becoming a mother for the very first time.

To mark the occasion, she sat down with two incredibly special women in her life — her mom and her sister, a mother of five — for a conversation all about motherhood through different seasons of life.

In this special episode of In Her Season, the girls share honest stories, parenting fails, lessons learned, and the advice they wish more expecting moms heard. From pregnancy emotions to raising kids and everything in between, this episode is full of laughter, vulnerability, and real-life wisdom from three very different motherhood perspectives.

It’s also the first time both of these special guests have joined the podcast, making this conversation feel even more personal and meaningful.

Whether you’re an expecting mom, already in the thick of motherhood, or simply reflecting on the women who shaped you, this episode is a reminder that no one has it all figured out — and that’s part of the beauty of it 💛
