In this episode, we sit down with writer/director August Alves, and CSC Cinematographer Avery Wilton to talk about their upcoming short film project, “Even After Life”. Avery breaks down more of his filmmaking process; planning, meetings, scene diagrams, working with the director, and more. August walks us through how she began creating this story over 7 years ago, the mental obstacles in her way and how she overcame them, and why she believes stories that question the unknown are important and should continue to be shared - even when it could get controversial. Logan and Rachel both worked on set for this production, and talk about their takeaways and experience as well.

In today's episode, we sit down with Christian Guérin; a local filmmaker and storyteller in the film industry. He is also one of the members of TheMonkeyBuziness - "at the heart of Christian’s work is a commitment to storytelling with depth. He writes and produces films that invite viewers to think critically, to engage with complex narratives that go beyond surface-level entertainment.

For him, a film isn’t truly successful unless it lingers in the audience’s mind. Christian wants Monkey Buziness to be known not just for the films it produces, but for the change it inspires in the industry. We talk to Christian about what made him choose to pursue a career in narrative driven films, his experiences and challenges he's faced, and how TheMonkeyBuziness orginization came to be.
