From growing up as a child of Chinese immigrant parents in San Diego, to attending UCLA, Joy takes on a tour of her lived experiences. Perhaps most interestingly, Joy talks about her intersectionality as a person in an interracial marriage. She also provides our listeners with keen insight of what it is like to help her multiracial son navigate the world in which he lives.
