Jatwang Wangsa is a teacher and storyteller. He is among a handful in the Wancho tribe of Arunachal Pradesh who are trying to keep the tribal tradition and culture alive. Besides, Wangsa is also developing books in the tribal language. He recently co-authored a book, which is a collection of Wancho folktales. In this interview with Meghalaya Monitor's Nabamita Mitra, he shares his experience of collecting stories from Wancho tribesmen in different villages. He also talks about the language and what more to be done to keep it thriving.
