About this listen
Hi Sleepy.
This episode begins in a living room with a plastic Christmas tree that has done its job and is now just standing there. From there, I wander through crowded warehouse stores, grocery aisles, guilt, scale, stars, microorganisms, language mistakes, and the strange comfort of knowing that the information that divides cells in you is ancient and uninterrupted.
It’s a quiet, drifting episode about consumption, loneliness, Christmas in Sweden, being alone on Christmas Day, the terror of choosing dinner, the size of the universe, the smallness of everything, and the idea that you and I are part of a very long, unbroken chain of life.
Nothing is resolved. Nothing needs to be. I’m just here, talking, in my living room, while you fall asleep.
It is what it is. What happens, happens. And right now, there’s nothing we can do.
Sleep Tight!
