I’ve just heard the sad news that Eddie Palmieri passed away on 6th August 2025. A true talent, electric on stage and a generous man off it, Eddie’s music has touched so many — including me. I’m paying tribute with a selection of his finest Latin jazz and salsa recordings, from Vamonos Pal’Monte to Revolt – La Libertad L6gico. For that purpose, I have used more rock music than I usually use in my mixes. The rock of the post-punk scene fits perfectly with this view.

Post-punk was a very inspiring period of musical creativity and crossing boundaries that still has repercussions today.
