Then we pay tribute to slain Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil, a brilliant and courageous correspondent for the Al-Akhbar newspaper who was killed in an Israeli airstrike yesterday in the town of Al-Tayri. After surviving an initial drone strike on a nearby vehicle, she and her colleague sought shelter in a home. The Israeli military then dropped a bomb directly on that building. It’s being called another targeted assassination of journalists by the Israeli Defense Forces.
