Why "know Surrender" it is taken from a pamphlet I was given some years back and is a play on words. "No Surrender" is of course a well know phrase but to "know Surrender" that is to surrender your self to the Lord Jesus, the Christ is more than a well known phrase. It is the key to eternal life.

  • The Divine Shield of the Spiritual Little Ones
    Jan 9 2026

We explore the grave spiritual consequences associated with harming or misleading individuals defined as "little ones" in the Christian scriptures. The author argues that this term extends beyond young children to encompass new converts and vulnerable believers who are humble in their faith. By referencing the biblical imagery of a heavy millstone, the passage illustrates the severity of divine judgement facing those who cause such followers to stumble or sin. It serves as a stern warning to religious leaders and institutions against distorting biblical truths or exploiting the weak. Ultimately, the source emphasises that God provides special protection for all who are spiritually fragile, regardless of their physical age. This teaching underscores a collective responsibility to nurture and defend those at the beginning of their journey with Christ.

  • Providence and Identity in the Land of Goshen - Genesis 47:1-12
    Jan 9 2026

    Send us a text

The biblical narrative of Genesis 47:1–12, detailing the arrival of Jacob’s family in Egypt and their strategic settlement in the region of Goshen. Through Joseph’s careful preparation, five brothers were presented to Pharaoh to request land, a number chosen for its symbolic association with grace and its cultural favour in Egypt. By identifying as shepherds, the family avoided total assimilation into Egyptian society, maintaining a distinct spiritual identity while receiving the best available pasture. The texts highlight the profound moment when Jacob blessed Pharaoh, demonstrating that true spiritual authority transcends worldly power or royal status. Ultimately, the accounts serve as a lesson in divine providence, showing how God provides for His people in foreign environments without requiring them to compromise their values. Modern applications are also explored, encouraging believers to navigate contemporary society with integrity, wisdom, and steadfast faith.

  • Macaulay on the Preservation of the English Constitution
    Dec 27 2025

    Send us a text

A Christmas Special Thomas Babington Macaulay’s view of the 1688 Revolution as a conservative act that secured England’s future stability. By prioritising historical precedent over abstract theory, the English preserved their ancient laws while the rest of Europe suffered through violent upheavals. The sources highlight how the transition to a statutory monarchy ended the dangerous "superstition" of divine right, subordinating the Crown to the law. This shift established a framework for parliamentary supremacy, allowing all subsequent social and political progress to occur within the constitution. Ultimately, Macaulay argues that England escaped the chaos of the nineteenth century specifically because it had completed this "preserving revolution" in the seventeenth.
