La storia che andremo a raccontare parte da Survivor Series 1991 quando da li in poi Hulk Hogan e The Undertaker si affrontarono in svariati match. Jack Tunney rese quindi il titolo vacante e lo mise in premio al vincitore del Royal Rumble match!

Questa Royal Rumble ha visto come protagonisti wrestler del calibro di British Bulldog, The Undertaker, Sid Justice, Shawn Michaels, Jake The Snake Roberts e Ric flair.

L'esito della Rumble vide come vincitore il Nature Boy aiutato dall'allora rivale Hulk Hogan appena eliminato da Sid Justice.
