सिंगापुर में हूँ आजकल, ये तो है सही,
दिल्ली वाला हूँ मगर, ये मत भूलिएगा कभी।
ज़िंदगी की दौड़ में सब कुछ पा लिया है सही,
पर जो खो गया था बचपन में, वो मिल न सका कभी।
कलम को भूल बैठे थे, कुछ साल पहले सही,
अब लफ़्ज़ फिर से आने लगे हैं, जैसे लौटे कोई कभी।
किसी मिसरे में छुपा हूँ, किसी नज़र में सही,
मैं अब किताबों की तरह खुलता हूँ धीरे-धीरे कभी।
भीड़ में भी अक्सर ख़ुद से दूर रहा हूँ सही,
शेरों ने ही पास बुलाया, जब कोई न था कभी।
हर शेर में दिखा कोई अक्स-सा चेहरा सही,
