The Larnaca Salt Lake is the second largest salt lake in Cyprus with 2.2 square kilometers. This also makes it an important habitat for water birds. Since the lake fills with water in winter, a lot of flamingos come here to hibernate from November to March. There is a nature trail around the lake that leads to the Kamares aqueduct. At the Salt Lake View Point you have a perfect view of the salt lake. Also very easy to find via Google Maps. Even if I haven’t got a nice photo of the flamingos (my reflex camera is still on the way from Germany via DHL parcel …) there was already a beautiful sunset at this point.
