  • The Black Church: The Backbone We Can't Afford To Lose
    Jan 25 2026

Before Black people had rights, we had the church. In this episode of Let Us Not Forget, we take a deep, honest look at the historic and present-day role of the Black church in the survival, strength, and stability of the Black community. From slavery to segregation, from the Civil Rights Movement to today’s cultural crossroads, the Black church has been far more than a place of worship. It has been our refuge in times of terror, our classroom when education was denied, our bank when access was restricted, our organizing hub when justice was delayed, and our spiritual anchor when hope was under attack.

    But what has changed?

Why does the Black church no longer hold the same central place it once did — and what has that shift cost our families, our children, and our communities?

    In this episode, we explore:

    • The biggest difference between the Black community then and now

    • The three major forces that contributed to the erosion of communal life

    • Why faith, family, and community were once inseparable

    • And why restoring the Black church’s role is essential to rebuilding the Black family and reclaiming our future

    This is not about nostalgia.

This is about truth, healing, and direction.

Because if we want to restore what has been broken, we must remember what once held us together.

  • Homeschooling 101: A Parent's Perspective (Part 1)
    Jan 24 2026

Today’s episode is especially important because we are exploring a topic many parents are considering more now than ever before. The topic is homeschooling, and if it is a good option for your family?’ “Today’s guest is a parent who made a thoughtful decision to homeschool her child. She’s not here as a spokesperson or an expert with all the answers — she’s here as a parent, sharing her real journey. She’ll speak honestly about what led her to homeschool, what surprised her along the way, and what she wishes other parents understood about educating children outside of traditional classrooms.” Did you know that Black families are now one of the fastest-growing groups in the homeschooling movement in the United States. It's true.

However, this conversation is not about convincing anyone to homeschool. It’s about education with intention — understanding the options available to parents, and learning from those who are living it every day.” This is part one of a two part episode. If this conversation is meaningful to you, I invite you to pause for a moment and subscribe to the Let Us Not Forget Podcast to ensure you don’t miss future conversations like this. Sep 16 2025

In this podcast episode, we’re going to take a journey that takes us back into the pages of Genesis and walk alongside Joseph — the young dreamer betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, yet lifted by God to savenations. And as we walk with Joseph, we’ll pause and reflect on the African-American story in America. From betrayal and enslavement to resilience and rising influence, the parallels are striking.
