He is an Author, a TV teacher and a ministry training consultant with other ministries, both in Africa and the US. Arthur and his team have been designing and implementing evangelism and community development programs that include planting churches, training ministers (biblical seminary and other methods), skills development, providing water to village communities, medical outreaches, women development programs, support for the elderly, elementary education, youth and children ministries and legal service ministry. Apart from his book “I am a Soldier”, Arthur is now focusing on writing more books, training leaders and doing media-based ministry. His TV program (I AM A SOLDIER) on Uganda’s national TV station (UBC) reaches over 20 million people with the gospel. Esther Magezi’s BIO Born in 1978, in Mubugando, a small village of Butuku region in western Uganda. My father diedwhen I was very young. My mother worked hard to feed and care for us, raising her nine childrenwithout help. Because of the poverty we faced, I could not attend school. In 1992, at the age of 14, I went to take care of my married sister who was suffering from HIV (nowdeceased). When I arrived at their home, her husband shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ with me,and I accepted Him as my Lord and Savior that very day. Much happened to me over the next 14 years: While in Fort Portal, a family member attempted toprostitute me for financial gain. Shortly thereafter, my sister died. After her death, I returned home but when I entered our humble house, the Lord told me, “Leave this house and go stay at the church.” There were no rooms there, so I slept on the floor without a mattress or any covering. The churchhad no doors or windows. I often went days without food until the Lord touched someone to bring me nourishment. While living at the church, I would walk to neighboring villages - sometimes 10-15 miles away - to share the Gospel with those who had not yet heard it. During this time, prayer and fasting were major in my life. In 2008, a widowed pastor from World Vision came to preach at the church. He was a humble man of God, who understood and preached the Word with wisdom. He was not only very handsome, but he was educated and also knew how to speak English. He taught me about spiritual warfare. I prayedm earnestly for deliverance. Separately, God spoke to us to get married. In 2009, I was married to Arthur Magezi and we began a new journey in Christ together. With marriage came the blessing of motherhood. Arthur had children, and I took on the honor andprivilege of becoming their mama. Many more were brought into our family one by one. Today, we are parents to 12 children and grandparents to four, with many more to come. My journey has shaped who I am, how I teach, and how I care for others. I am deeply passionateabout the well-being of women and widows in our country. I opened a store to raise money for theirneeds. Additionally, I implemented training for women so they are able to teach one another life skills such as raising goats, sewing, soap making, and hairstyling. I am currently working towardsestablishing a program to help women get an education and become self-sufficient. My story is one of grace found in my Lord and Savior that has taken me from a multitude ofadolescent hardships to a powerful transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. Today, with delight, Iam fulfilling God’s calling on my life, as Women’s Director, Christ Transformation Ministries(CTMAfrica.org). I live by the words found in 1 Samuel 3:9: “And it shall be that if He calls you, that you must say,“Speak Lord, for Your servant hears.” I look forward with hopeful expectation for the next chapter ofthis little life of mine.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
