Her story intersects directly with church leadership active during that same period. She personally knew some of the individuals referenced in those public statements and experienced abuse as a minor within that same church circle. Her testimony, recorded in a sit-down interview with us, includes:specific names of individuals in positions of church authority at the timemultiple instances of sexual abuse that were reportedleadership’s knowledge of those incidentsand the repeated pattern of cover-up that allowed further harm to occurShe has come forward now because she has watched as Danielle Van Noy has been publicly dismissed by some, minimized, and treated as an inconvenience, a “thorn”, and refuses to allow another survivor to shoulder that burden alone.
