About this listen

LilyBell is an unfiltered voice speaking her truth without judgement. Her straight-talking videos dive beneath the surface to discuss provocative topics most shy away from.

LilyBell believes open, thoughtful dialogue creates understanding between people. While her opinions may challenge the status quo, her aim is bringing hidden issues into the light rather than attacking others.

Expect authentic conversations and just enough controversy to make you examine your own beliefs.

LilyBell reminds us - "I'm trying to create a dialog. Come Beneath the Crust if you dare. Deal with it!" This is an invitation to self-reflection wrapped in her signature bold style.

If you're ready to go beyond lip-service and engage meaningfully with another viewpoint, join Lily Bell’s fireside chats. There may be some verbal sparks, but they exist only to illuminate. Underneath any bravado is the hope that we understand each other better.

    Jul 22 2025

This episode examines the suspicious timing between Nigeria's refusal to accept Venezuelan deportees from the US and the sudden emergence of news reports about Christian massacres in the country. We explore how media narratives may be weaponized against nations that stand up to pressure from powerful countries like the United States.

    • Nigerian leader quoted Public Enemy's Flavor Flav to reject Trump's deportation demands
    • Nigeria cited its 230 million population as reason for refusing Venezuelan deportees
    • Shortly after rejection, Western media began reporting on "horrific massacres" against Christians
    • Reports emphasized shocking details about babies and children being burned alive
    • The suspicious timing suggests potential media manipulation as retaliation for diplomatic defiance
    • Critical analysis of how negative press may follow when nations exercise sovereignty
    • Importance of questioning media narratives, especially after moments of diplomatic tension

“I’m not my ancestor.” This is often said by many Black youths.

When the Black youth says, “I’m not my ancestor,” the Black youth says it with such bravado. The Black youth says it as if it’s something to be proud of.

You damn right you aren’t. But, what if you were?
