Are you or someone you know dealing with cancer? Are you sitting in a chemo chair too tired to read or open your eyes? This is the podcast I was searching for when diagnosed in 2021 with stage 4 endometrial cancer. After chemo, surgery, radiation, and countless side effects, I am still battling terminal cancer while writing books, mentoring women, leading support groups, and leading Bloom with Deb through my YouTube channel.

Do you need a cheerleader to inspire you to accomplish every good work you were created to do? It’s my goal to offer comfort, compassion, and community throughout your cancer journey.

Every week a new episode will include a portion taken from my book, Grace Through the Darkness, (available on Amazon with my 3 other books) with additional insights, stories, and resources. I can promise you No medical advice, no graphic descriptions, and no swearing! Safe listening for the whole family!

    Max Lucado wrote in his Live Loved Devotional, “A season of suffering is a small assignment when compared to the reward. Rather than begrudge your problem, explore it. Ponder it. And most of all, use it. Use it to the Glory of God. Your pain has a purpose.” They say when something bad happens you have 3 choices, you can either let it define you, destroy you or strengthen you.

    Debra Burns shares her gratitude for all the prayers. The Living with Cancer Podcast is taking a break to focus on other projects.     It’s Fall Ya’ll and time to slow down. I love this season between summer and winter. In Florida it means we spend more time outside enjoying our patio and taking long walks. I’ve been busy visiting friends in Indy, Orlando, New Smyrna Beach, and planned a getaway to Clearwater Beach with Steve for a few days. In this episode I encourage you to pray the prayer of Jabez from 1 Chronicles 4:10, “Oh, that you would bless me and expand my territory! Please be with me in all that I do and keep me from all trouble and pain!”

    My bloodwork and scans this summer show I’m still living without disease currently. I don’t need another scan until the end of October. When I have 30 episodes published, I’m going to take a break from this weekly podcast but will update when I have new news to share.
