Hey, and welcome to the first episode of my podcast. My name is Rae, and I am your host. In today’s episode I did a semi deep dive as to why I decided to make this podcast and what Lost: Missing while Colored is about. I am a Black American who was born in Jamaica. After the Petito case I was intrigued, on this TikTok like I am sure a lot of you are that was delving into “Missing White Woman Syndrome.” This intrigued me so much that I started to research missing people of color. Then, I realized how much the media does not display us, and that started me on a journey of how can I help? Well, in this podcast we are discussing the why it’s important, and the fact that over here we are creating a safe space for missing people of color.
