    -------------------

New Christians need to understand most of the rage we feel is not about righteousness. It is about interruption. We become enraged when our plans are delayed, our expectations are not met, our control is challenged, or our comfort is jeopardized. So, when Paul says, "Love is not provoked," there is an emotional mismatch. The concept of "love that does not seek its own" pertains to my desires, whereas "love that is not provoked" pertains to my reactions when I do not receive them. In this video we will continue the journey of Agape Love from self-seeking to being provoked. Then I will be sharing the only power that will enable us to master it.

New Christians must understand Christian consumerism is a culture that knows how to use Jesus. A lot of people follow Him as long as He meets their wants, blesses their plans, and doesn't cost too much. That's why the American Gospel sublimely says, "Give to get." But the Biblical Gospel soundly teaches “Get to give.” When Paul says something even more disturbing: "Love does not seek its own" that means love doesn't question, "What do I get out of this?" It asks, "What can I give, even if it costs me?" Today, we will learn the distinction between merely being an American Christian or a Biblical Disciple of Christ. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE!

  • New Christian | Love Is...NOT RUDE

New Christians need to understand that some of the worst wounds in the church weren't caused by lies; they were caused by the truth being told without love. Paul states, "Love is not rude." But we've learned how to insult people in Jesus' name, disgrace them in the name of honesty, and destroy them while calling it conviction. Being rude doesn't always mean being loud. It may sound serene, right, and spiritually strong at the moment but love never hurts someone's pride to make a point. Today, we're going to dissolve the discourse that wins arguments but loses souls. Watch and learn the sixth attribute to Agape Love...NOT RUDE
