The character, Winnie, is initially intimidated and fearful of being onstage until another child befriends her and enables her to become more confident. The book explains basic theater terms to help any young reader.

“Winnie Acts Up” is more than a book about a young girl and the theater. It is about transformation and becoming confident if you open yourself to vulnerability and learning.
