About this listen

Welcome to Making Jesus Content.

This whole thing actually started at our kitchen table… and with a misunderstanding—which honestly feels very on-brand for how God works in our lives.

My wife and I became young adult leaders at our church, and not long after that we were asked to lead discipleship groups. I was walking with the guys, she was walking with the girls, and suddenly our evenings were filled with real conversations—questions about faith, obedience, calling, identity, and what it actually looks like to follow God when life doesn’t come with a step-by-step manual.

Those conversations didn’t stop at church. They followed us home. They lived at our kitchen table. And one night, in the middle of all that, I asked her, “Hey… do you want to make Jesus content?”

She immediately said, “Of course.”

Turns out… we were talking about two very different things.

I meant content about Jesus—podcasts, videos, conversations like this. She thought I meant content for Jesus… like, making Him happy. Which, honestly, might be the most accurate misunderstanding of all time.

But that moment cracked something open for us.

We realized this journey isn’t just about creating content about faith. It’s about becoming people whose lives are the content. People learning how to hear God’s voice, how to obey even when it doesn’t make sense, and how to live fully surrendered—not halfway in, not culturally Christian, but genuinely walking with God day by day.

So that’s what this is.

We’re recording the conversations we were already having. The things we’re learning. The ways God is correcting us, stretching us, and revealing Himself to us. No hype. No formulas. No pretending we’ve arrived.

Our hope is to make Jesus content that makes Jesus… content. But also to help anyone listening learn how to hear God’s voice, trust Him, and become that living sacrifice—fully bought into the Kingdom and fully alive in this life.

If you’re hungry for that… you’re in the right place.

Let’s get into it.

  • What the Church Was Always Meant to Be | Presence, Maturity & the Kingdom of God
    Feb 13 2026

This is the full, uncut conversation from Making Jesus Content on the meaning of the Church, spiritual maturity, and the Kingdom of God.

In this episode, we reflect on youth camp experiences, the presence of God in worship, and what it truly means to be the Church.

The church is not a building.

    It’s not a stage.

    It’s not a performance.

It is a community of believers called to carry the presence of God into the world.

In this full-length discussion, we explore:

    • Why youth camp moments can be spiritually transformative

    • The difference between consuming church and becoming the church

    • Why God’s presence matters more than production

    • The role of the church in equipping believers

    • Supporting and praying for church leadership

    • Moving from spiritual immaturity into Kingdom maturity

    • The importance of heart posture in faith

    • Access to Heaven on Earth

    • Being contributors in the body of Christ

    • Curating a real relationship with God

    Spiritual growth requires personal investment.

God will meet you where you are — but He also calls you forward.

This conversation is an invitation to move from attendance to participation, from emotion to maturity, and from building-focused thinking to Kingdom-centered living.

If you’ve wrestled with church culture, leadership, worship, or what it truly means to follow Jesus, this conversation is for you.

  • Saying Yes to God Before It Makes Sense | Hearing God’s Voice & Obedience
    Jan 30 2026

This is the first episode of Making Jesus Content—a series born from simple conversations around our kitchen table and a desire to live fully surrendered to God’s voice.

In this episode, we share where this series came from, why we’re filming in Montana, and what it looks like to say yes to God before it makes sense to our rational mind. We talk about hearing God’s voice, walking in obedience, and how faith often requires action before understanding.

Through personal testimony, divine connections, and everyday moments God orchestrated, we explore how obedience opens doors we never could have planned ourselves. Our hope is to encourage you to trust God’s leading, recognize His presence in the little details, and believe that every yes to Him carries purpose and impact far beyond what we can see.

If you’re learning how to hear God’s voice, wrestling with obedience, or wondering if your yes really matters—this conversation is for you.
