Dr. Steven Kurtz is a leading clinical psychologist and internationally respected expert in the treatment of childhood anxiety disorders, ADHD, and behavioral challenges, notably in the area of school refusal. He is the founder and director of Kurtz Psychology Consulting, a practice known for its innovative, evidence-based approaches to school refusal, Selective Mutism, and disruptive behaviors. He’s an advocate for exposure-based treatments that empower families to help kids re-engage with school and the world around them.

Shaya Hecht, LCSW is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Sara Schenirer social work program in collaboration with the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Shaya is also a Psychotherapist who is the founder and director of H.I.P. Counseling Center in the New York area. His insights into dysregulation and trauma is aimed at creating an environment for patients to open up without initiating feelings of inadequacy and rejection.

Chananyah Silverman is an LCSW and PhD Fellow who serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Sara Schenirer social work program in collaboration with the Wurzweiler School of Social Work. He has over a decade of experience as a licensed clinician, and is currently the Clinical Director at Premium Health Center in Brooklyn.
