He wasn't simply crushed; He was crushed for our iniquities. Every wound had a purpose: to bear the punishment we deserved so that we could have peace with God. As you memorize this verse this week, may you be reminded that the cross wasn't just an event in history—it was God's plan of redemption, accomplished out of His great love for you.
