  • The Emotional Tax of Being Capable - Adaku Mbagwu
    Jan 15 2026

First Daughter Disrupter: Breaking the Cycle of Responsibility

A deep conversation about firstborn daughters who carry everyone's weight and how to redefine leadership with ease, grace, and power

In this episode, I mind-blended with Adaku Mbagwu, founder of HEAL and self-described First Daughter Disruptor, to unpack the unseen emotional labor carried by firstborn daughters—and anyone who has learned to equate love with responsibility. And in Adaku’s case, she has an extra layer of responsibility that came with her name. Adaku literally means first daughter in the Nigerian Igbo language.

From a young age, Adaku was wired to lead, provide, and hold everything together. Over time, that capability became an expectation—externally reinforced, internally enforced, and deeply exhausting. What followed was success on paper, burnout beneath the surface, and ultimately a reckoning with the cost of always being “the capable one.”

    About Adaku Mbagwu

Born in Nigeria, raised in London and now living in Mexico, HEAL founder Adaku looks back on her challenging life having lived through deep depression, suicidal attempts, and brief homelessness. After working with an inspirational life coach, Adaku immediately realized her limiting beliefs were the ultimate obstacles that needed to be overcome.

Deep self-enquiry and personal development training led to Adaku showing up for herself to craft the life of her dreams by welcoming healthy relationships, a sound mind and abundant ventures.

  • Your Home Might Be Tiring You Out. Here’s Why - Lucy Wahl
    Jan 7 2026

What if the clutter in your home isn’t just “a mess”… but a silent weight you’ve been carrying?

In this episode, professional organizer Lucy Milligan Wahl reveals why organizing isn’t really about color-coded bins or picture-perfect pantries. It’s about reducing the subconscious burden that physical chaos places on your mind, your relationships, and your ability to recharge.

    We talk about:

    • Why clutter signals unfinished decisions your brain keeps stressing over
    • How your home environment shapes your energy, confidence, and connection with others
    • The secret trick of not leaving empty spaces so clutter has nowhere to accumulate
    • How intentional systems—not perfection—create sustainable change
    • Why a home full of personality doesn’t have to mean a home full of clutter

If you’re curious how lifting this unseen burden can change your daily life, or if you’re craving more peace in your space, this episode is for you.

    About Lucy Wahl
