This is the first episode of the year for the MindSets Podcast, and we’re coming in hot with announcements, ambition, and a completely reasonable goal of getting ourselves onto the podcast Mount Rushmore. We open with a brand-new segment, 2 Minute News - a tighter, sharper, no-nonsense way of doing updates that (miraculously) lasts exactly two minutes. No waffle. No rabbit holes. No guarantees it stays this efficient forever. From there, we roll into the new episode structure and Grind My Gears, unpacking festive-period frustrations, post-Christmas reality checks, and influencers pushing wildly unrealistic New Year goals purely for likes, validation, and vibes (rather than anything remotely useful).

The main chunk of the episode is all about what’s changing at MindSets in 2026, including:

- Our goals and standards for the year

- Moving to weekly episodes instead of bi-weekly

- Posting far more consistently across social platforms

- Reintroducing guest episodes with old favourites and new athletes

-We wrap things up with the Big Fat Quit of 2026 - a quiz covering the major events coming up this year. The real question: can Charles finally turn over a new leaf and score a point or two in 2026… or will tradition prevail?Higher standards, better structure, bigger ambition, same chaos.
