Schumann noted that current U.S. metal recycling rates are only around 20% to 30%, meaning 70% to 80% of consumed metals are being thrown into landfills, highlighting the urgent need for better collection infrastructure and consumer incentives to build a true circular economy in the U.S. Schumann is addressing this challenge through EverMetal, which is executing a dedicated roll-up strategy to acquire and professionalize U.S. metals recycling companies.
