    Fostering Change

    I began the fostering journey with one goal in mind - to provide a safe home for children who were experiencing difficult circumstances in their own homes. Over the course of my time spent fostering, I had more than 40 children pass through our home - some for a few nights, some for a few months, and one particular child for what seemed like a lifetime. Who would have imagined that my greatest heartbreak would come not from the death of a loved one, but from the departure of a child who had been so very loved. Join me as I contemplate my experience and my hope that in some way I was "fostering change."
