  • #04 Per Norrgren - From Burnout to Mindfulness Teacher
    Nov 6 2021

Per Norrgren is a mindfulness teacher and mentor at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre (OMC) and is the founder & director of InMindSight where he also offers courses, classes & mindfulness retreats. When Per had a burnout, and what he describes as a "spectacular midlife crisis", he turned to mindfulness for help. It was such a profound and life changing experience that led him to leave the corporate world and to continue his training so he could share mindfulness with others. In this episode, we had a deep dive conversation about his journey to wellbeing, mindfulness (what is it, who is it for, how it can help, how to choose a course etc) and he also shared a couple of lovely practical exercises that you can try as you listen.

  • #02 Burnout - Juggling Motherhood, Wellbeing & Career
    Sep 26 2021

In today’s episode I had a conversation my friend Caroline about her experience of juggling motherhood, wellbeing and career. Caroline started to experience the symptoms of burnout in 2019 after the birth of her second child, which at first was overlooked by her doctors in Sweden and dismissed as Seasonal Affective Disorder, but when she asked for a second opinion she was told it was most likely to be Post Natal Depression. Eventually, after being referred to a therapist, she was finally diagnosed with burnout in 2020. In our conversation we discussed the many challenges she continues to face in trying to balance her own needs for space, sleep and purpose, with the needs of her family, health and career.
