    Monday is here and so are the World Cup knockout rounds! After Canada’s win yesterday there’s a ton to look forward to. Off the field, the U.S. Men’s National Team is looking to keep Mauricio Pochettino around after the World Cup. They’ve offered him a contract extension that would keep him here through the 2030 tournament despite popular opinion saying he’s heading back to club football after the tournament ends.Second cycle managers rarely pan out and certainly have not for the USMNT. Can Poch break that cycle? Also, MLS is adding another aging superstar from Europe as Robert Lewandowski is signing with the Chicago Fire for two years. What does this mean for the Fire and soccer in Chicago? Superstar signings not withstanding, we ask a big question: Are the American domestic leagues doing enough to capitalize off World Cup fever? Should MLS be ramping up the national ads during World Cup matches? What about the USL? The NWSL had a tour bus rolling around to promote the NWSL Challenge Cup Final last Friday.
